BUSY SUNDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING FOR 10 HOUSE
Sunday 08/06/06 - The afternoon started off with the opening of the Huntingdon County Fair . The 10 house has a food booth at the fair on the midway . Along with running the food booth the 10 house pulled down 3 calls.The first was a car fire in the parking lot of Walmart . The 10 house placed both engines on the call with full crews . The 2nd call was for a M.V.A. on route 22 at the Tri-star dealership . Engine 10 - 1 along with Huntingdon ems and PSP worked this call . To top the evening off a 2nd M.V.A. on route 22 this time at 4th street again the 10 house rolled engine 10 -1 and the special unit 10 and PSP.

Saturday: 08/12/06 : 1st alarm Huntingdon box /14:50 Hr's . Engine 10 ,Tower 10 SP.Unit 10 / Chief 5 with command : Engine 10 showed on the scene right behind Engine 50 . Engine 10 was staged and then placed in service by chief 5 . All 3 10 house made it to the scene before being placed in service .
M.V.A. ROUTE 22 AND SOUTH 4TH ST
Sunday 08/13/06 : Local alarm w/special assignments Squad 6 at 10:47 Hr's . Engine 10-1 ,SP.Unit 10 / Squad 6 / EMS 500 /Deputy Chief 10 with command :Engine 10-1 showed on the scene with no entrapment , 3 car chain reaction . Squad 6 was used for traffic control.

1st alarm Alexandria box at 12:52 Hr's . Engine 10 / Chief 1 with the command. Engine 10 Staged one block out and sent crew of 5 to the scene letting the driver behind . The crew assisted with the main fire attack and overhaul of 2nd floor plus attic. Letting 2 full crews at the 10 HOUSE

Monday 08/14/06 : Local alarm w/special assignments Brush 6 at 18:57 Hr's . Engine 10-1 ,Brush 10 and Brush6/ Asst. Chief 10 with the command : While Chief 10 and Engine 10 were in Orby for the homecoming parade . The 10 HOUSE was dispatched for a local alarm for a brush fire at Leffard Bench and Piney Ridge Road .( Norton Development ) Engine 10-1 Along with Asst. Chief 10 Arrived to find fire out . The Crew wet down area .

Wednesday 08/16/06 : 1st & 2nd alarm Alexandria box / Chief 1 with command /1448 hrs /: Engine 10 was dispatched on the first alarm . It was the 3rd arriving engine on scene with orders to set up dump tank op's .Engine 10 supplied the fire ground with BIG WATER for 9 HOURS (2000 gpm). A 2nd alarm was hit bring Tower 10 & Special unit 10 to the scene. Tower 10 was set up on side A of the barn . Tower 10 was in the air for 7 hours . Special unit 10 supplied air and man power to the scene.

At 1731 hr's Engine 1012 responded to Juniata College Campus to Assist with a major propane leak . The Crew Assisted with checking buildings and dropped a load of 5 in for water supply . Transfers from Mifflin Co. Truck 11 and Huntingdon Co. Engine/Tanker 14 took over the transfer for the remaining time till the 10 HOUSE got back .

Thursday 08/17/06 : Local alarm /Engine 10-1 and Special Unit 10 :
At 309 Spruce Street the upper leave of the trailer court . Chief 10 arrived to find a pole that had rotted off and fell on a vehicle with entrance line down . The Penelec Co. was called. Chief 10 cleared call leaving fire police to wait for penelec .

The "10 HOUSE " has expanded it's rescue capabilities by placing a complete " TRUCK " set of Rescue 42 Struts in service . Also along with the struts a complete set of Hurst Airbags . With the additions of these items Engine 10 -1 now carries a complete Hurst Rescue System. Thanks to all the support from the community and the hard work of the "10 HOUSE " members that made this possible.
